Truly impressive! With the founding of an interdenominational, civic choir in 1847, the foundation was laid in Stuttgart for a musical movement that continues to have an impact to this day. For many years since the founding of the choir, oratorical performances of classical, as well as – at that time contemporary – works by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Bruckner, etc., were the focus of the „Verein für klassische Kirchenmusik“. … wishes the Stuttgarter Oratorienchor to all people near and far! We are overjoyed that we succeeded in a real picture book start after the long forced concert break! We were able to present an extremely successful and acclaimed concert in one of the most beautiful churches in Stuttgart in front of a virtually sold-out house. The expectant audience was offered a truly mammoth program. With the Mozart Requiem (Death) and excerpts from the Brahms Requiem (Consolation), this was almost a „double concert“.
